Super Bowl Spirit and Stuff

This past Sunday was the Super Bowl and, more importantly, the Super Bowl party! Ken and Melissa Perignat had the party at their brand new house in Little 5 Points this year. Their house is awesome, and I had an absolute blast. To my surprise, many of the guests were kiddos, just like me! Unfortunately, most of them weren't quite as hyper as I am; I definitely could have taken home the prize for most 'lively'. At first, I was a little shy, but that only lasted about 10 minutes, and by the end of the night, I was going through random people's legs, and if they weren't ready for me, I would just ram them in the butt with my head - sorry, Dirk. Mrs. Teri's legs were the most fun because she is so tall. I met several new friends and even got to see some old ones. First, I met Allison, whose middle name is actually Olivia, and she was sweet enough to share her tailgating chairs with me; I even tried to kiss her several times to thank her, but she wasn't really interested. After trying to sit in her chair while she was sitting in it, her Daddy went out to the car and got one just for me. I felt like such a big girl sitting and eating with her, but it didn't take me long to confiscate both chairs and push them around the house. Allison was really shy but very sweet; I'll get her to run around with me next time. I also met three-year-old twins, but they didn't really look alike considering one was a girl and the other was a boy imagine that! The little boy caught my attention, so I tried to kiss him while he was sitting on the stairs; however, he turned his head and looked at me like I was crazy; perhaps, he likes a girl with a little more hair - oh, well. It didn't take me long to get over the rejection because Jake showed up; Jake is about 8 years old, and I met him last summer. We all know how I like to play with older boys, and he is so much fun! He chased me around the party and helped me push the tailgating chairs through the living room; he was really good about making sure that I didn't fall or get hurt. Then he got out a little handheld PlayStation game; I've never seen one of those, so I had an awesome time pushing all of the buttons while he played. I probably messed up his game, but he didn't get mad at all. We even pretended to color at one point, and he taught me how to throw the makers across the table, which was pretty funny if you ask me, especially since Mom never lets me do cool stuff like that. Thanks for an awesome time, Jake! I was also very excited that Mrs. Teri and Mr. Justin were there. Mrs. Teri snuck me a few cookies, and I love her for it; I do like my sweets. She also let me shred a couple of napkins and let me pretend that her legs were a tunnel. Towards the end of the night, I had a little Germany-change-of-heart and couldn't get enough of Mr. Justin. I kept walking up to him and putting my hands out so that he would pick me up and let me sit with him and Joe. I guess I just wanted to chill with the guys and watch some football. I was excited to see Heather and Dirk for the first time since we found out that they are going to have a baby - how exciting! Congratulations, Lambs! Mom, Dad, and I left at halftime, and it didn't take long for me to slip into dreamland on the way home. I was so worn out from all of the fun, that I didn't wake up until 9:30 the next morning - the sign of a truly good party! Oh, the New Orleans Saints won, just in case you hadn't gotten the memo. Thank you, Ken and Mel.

Yesterday included a little straightening up, with which I did my fair share, and our weekly trip to Publix where I got to see my favorite Publix balloon lady, Mrs. Suzana. She let me help blow up my balloon, which matched my outfit like always, and she was so excited that I can now say balloon - check out the video. She carried me into the bakery and let me say balloon for everyone. I'm not sure why it was such a big deal; she should know by now that I am a genius! I then called her balloon every time I saw her in the store. I'm obsessed with balloons. I got my cookie, said hello to my other Publix friends, spit avocado all over myself, and helped fill up the cart, as well as put everything on the conveyor belt at check out. I love grocery shopping. Mom and I even got stopped by a manager whom we have never met so that he could ask if I was the baby from the Publix picture. He proceeded to tell me how far up in the management chain that picture went; I felt like a celebrity; although, they never called about using the picture in a campaign - big mistake, Publix people!

I'll add balloon to my list of strange beginning words, which includes turtle:

Today is just a lazy, rainy day around the house since I can't really go anywhere or play outside. Maybe, I'll go through Mom's underwear drawer and find a pair to wear on my head, which is always fun, or throw the ball for Opie, which Mom is never able to capture on video. We do play very well together, and Opie is really starting to see me as a playmate. However, I'll probably just watch a little Sesame Street or Chugginton, my current favorites; when I say favorite referring to a TV show, it just means that show can catch my attention for about a minute at a time. I'm not really a sit-and-watch-TV kind of gal; although, I do need to reserve my energy for this weekend - Parker's 1st birthday party, Saturday night with Grandma, and Valentine's Day; I can't wait!

By the way, referring to the last video, I usually do run as fast as possible around the coffee table when Mom does the galloping horse song, but alas, I think it is more fun to make Mom look crazy on video than to do what she wants me to do.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you; I figured out how to pull my Winnie the Pooh plane up to the bathroom sink and use it as a stool so that I can get ready with Mom. It is quite a nifty trick that will probably result in injury, but I'm a rough and tumble girl, so that does not deter me at all. Daaaad, please, no photos!
