Fun, Family, Friends, Fireworks, and Food!

Yesterday was the celebration of our good ole' U. S. of A., and it was a blast! Mom and Dad threw their annual, so I am told, 4th of July party, and before the party, I wasn't so sure about having so many people in my house, but it ended up being tons of fun! I think I smiled the entire day. I surprised Mom, Dad, and even Grandma by letting everyone hold me - the more attention I get, the better in my book. People kept arriving throughout the day, and I think the youngins almost outnumbered the grownups. Brayden and Hudson came, but Hudson didn't feel well. Brayden brought his friends, Peyton and Caroline. I got to meet Kylie; she seems really sweet, and of course, Lucas came, which made my day. Dad made some great pulled pork and ribs, about which everyone raved. We even had a cake for Ms. Allyson's birthday; the icing was so good. I kept pretending that I hadn't had any so that each person who passed would give me a little taste, but somehow everyone figured out my ploy. Grandma watched all of us little kids while all of the big kids, i.e. Mom, Dad, and their friends, went down to the pool and partied without us. Mom wants me to pass on a big thank you to Grandma. Most of our guests left after the pool, but enough people stayed to keep partying until bedtime. Grandma bought me a new bathing suit, so I put on a little fashion show. Mr. Joe Guy and I hung around on the floor and watched the dogs go crazy, and Aunt Mallory made up a new game that involved walking to and kicking over my singing duck, probably one of the best games ever invented. I got to chill in my diaper after wearing my super cool Soho outfit all day. Then right before bed, Dad put on a baby-sized fireworks show for me; I stared intently at the ones that didn't make noise, but the ones that popped really scared me. By the end of the display, I was so exhausted that I quickly drifted off to dreamland not even to be disturbed by any of the fireworks that went off throughout the night. I learned this morning that Mom, Dad, Grandma, Aunt Mallory, Sebastian, Sindy, Marcus, and Selena got to watch several big fireworks displays from our yard as they stayed up late into the night. There's no way that I would have made it long enough to enjoy. Reflecting back, it was the best party I have experienced as of yet.
