Snow Day

Yesterday, I got my very first look at the rarest of entities in the south - SNOW! It was magical, at least what I could see of it from the window. I've told you about the uptight Mom, so there is no way that I was getting outside to play in it; I have got to figure out how to get these legs upright so that I can do whatever I want. Anyways, it was really pretty and really white. When Opie went outside, after being forced because he is such a wuss that even snow scares him, he came back in with snow all over his back; it was funny. I loved seeing the snow, but I can't wait until I am old enough to play in it and get something called the infamous Snow Day from school; I have heard that there is nothing more exciting, and just the thought of it makes me smile.

The only thing that I did not like about the snow was that it caused Grandma to leave early on Sunday morning. She came over on Saturday night so that Mom and Dad could go to Mrs. Heather's big 30th birthday party and Grandma and I could have a slumber party, just the two of us. I wore my new dress and bloomers for her. I love when Grandma comes over because I can get ANYTHING I want. Opie loves it too because that means Baxter comes to play; those two dogs are crazy! I was a little grumpy because I am starting to teeth, which really hurts. What a crock - I have to go through the pain of getting teeth, but I don't even get to use them to eat anything really tasty for awhile!

Besides the snow and Grandma's visit, the rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful, which I don't mind because I like just hanging around the house with Mom, Dad, and Opie. I got to play with my toys, watch a little Baby Einstein and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, throw a rattle or two, jump in my jumperoo, read a couple of books - or at least listen to a couple of books being read - and laugh at silly Daddy, which you can check out below. My new favorite person is Daddy; he is hilarious with his burping and general nerdiness; although, he is still not as nerdy as mom! By the way, I am almost sitting up on my own to play with my toys; I just have to figure out how to keep this big head from pulling my whole body forward. As a finishing touch to the weekend, last night, I got to eat cereal at night for the first time, so now, I eat oatmeal in the morning and rice cereal at night. I love oatmeal, and I never leave a drop in the bowl; if Mom would hold the bowl up to my face, I would lick it clean every time. I am really getting the hang of this whole spoon deal, so fruits and veggies, here I come!
